The National Institute of Mental Health reported that 1 in 10
adults suffer from depression each year. That equates to 19 million people in
the USA alone.
Exulin contains powerful natural ingredients that have been shown to increase
mood and feelings of well-being.
Contrary to popular belief, depression is not something that
is "all mental." The symptoms of depression are due to changes in
neurotransmitters. These neurotransmitters regulate many brain activities, including
your mood.
Serotonin is a very important neurotransmitter that is responsible for mental
and emotional health. Factors that deplete serotonin include physical and emotional
stress, as well as certain health conditions (e.g. hypothyroidism).
The ingredients in Exulin
have been shown to improve serotonin levels and may be helpful for relieving
depression.

L-Phenylalanine - An amino acid the body needs to produce neurotransmitters. Neurotransmitters are used to influence emotional and mental states. Several studies indicate that L-Phenylalanine can produce results equal to or better than tricyclic antidepressants while causing no side effects. (1, 2) Results are generally seen within 2-4 weeks.
Rhodiola Rosea Ext.- Helps transport these nutrients to the brain: tryptophan, 5-HTP, and serotonin. May be helpful for decreasing enzymes that break down serotonin.
Vitamin B6 - Helps tryptophan convert into serotonin. A deficiency in vitamin B6 may cause depression and anxiety because your body has limited levels of serotonin. (3)
Folic Acid - According to the doctors at the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School- depressive symptoms are commonly a sign of folic acid deficiency. (4) In one study, people with severe depression were given folic acid or placebo for six months. Patients who were given folic acid showed substantial improvements in depression scores over those who were given placebo. (5)
Methylcobalamin - A deficiency in Methylcobalamin has been associated with depression in the elderly.
St John's Wort Ext. - Studies have shown that St Johns Wort may be an effective solution to help with mild to moderate depression. (6, 7,8)
Gingko Biloba Ext. - Is often used in combination with St. John's Wort to help with severe cases of depression. (9)
